Splatterhouse Wanpaku Graffiti (Famicom)













If ever there's a title worth owning a Famicom for it's this little gem from Namco. As you can tell from the screenshots this game is a parody of the main Splatterhouse series and also a spoof of various horror films (and Jacko's Thriller music video!)















I absolutely love the look of this game, from the awesome boxart right through to the wonderful super deformed sprites. In fact writing this just makes me want to pick up a Famicom AV and a copy of the game again!

Wanpaku Graffiti plays very much like an 8 bit version of the other Splatterhouse titles, walk from left to right killing enemies with your trusty bat and fighting a number of memorable bosses along the way. It's the quirkiness of the games look and feel which give it an edge in my opinion and because of this i prefer it to the other games in the series.
